Meijer Celebrates Blackhawks Stanley Cup Victory June 12, 2010

The drought finally ends for Chicago, and in honor of the Hawks bringing home the Stanley Cup for the first time since 1961, Meijer will be hosting a celebration at Chicago area locations. Visit your nearest Meijer store on Saturday, June 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and join in on all the festivities! This fun-filled event will feature FREE commemorative rally towels given to the first 500 shoppers, an Enter to Win Sweepstakes, a vast selection of the newest Blackhawks merchandise and free sampling of the popular Meijer Brand Pizza Rolls.

Customers can enter to win the “Meijer Backyard Barbeque Celebration” sweepstakes with a grand prize of $1,000 in Meijer Gift Cards and a second prize of a hockey stick signed by the Blackhawks Team. The contest will run Saturday, June 12th and Sunday, June 13th. At the Meijer Niles store only, the official Blackhawks mascot Tommy Hawk will be making a personal appearance on Saturday from noon to 1 PM.
