Meet the Man Who Just Walked Across the Country May 7, 2005

Come meet Jacques Gauthier, the man who's been walking across the country since June 2004. From Montreal, to Florida and across 15 states, he's in Oregon now headed back north. He's agreed to stop in Portland just long enough to give a free lecture about his experiences and then he'll hit the road again.
Why is he walking? Jacques is 66 and cured himself of partial paralysis, crippling arthritis and osteoporosis using a dedicated routine of simple stretching exercises. He's been walking and talking ever since.
