Meet
DAVID SEDARIS
Reading followed by Q&A and booksigning
Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk
Wednesday, December 1
8pm meet-and-greet
In Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk: A Modest Bestiary (Hachette, $21.99), the characters may not be human, but the situations in these stories match the insanity of our everyday life. In "The Toad, the Turtle, and the Duck," three strangers commiserate about animal bureaucracy while waiting in a complaint line. In "Hello Kitty," a cynical feline struggles to sit through his prison-mandated AA meetings. In "The Squirrel and the Chipmunk," a pair of star-crossed lovers is separated by prejudiced family members.
About the Author: David Sedaris is a playwright and a regular commentator for National Public Radio. He is the author of several New York Times bestsellers, including Naked, Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, When You Are Engulfed in Flames and Me Talk Pretty One Day.
