'Meditations on African Art: Color' showcases 30 rarely seen masks from the museum's collection in the first exhibition of its kind to explore the symbolism of the African color trinity of red, black and white. Tunisian-born Swiss artist Fatma Charfi creates a site-specific installation for the exhibition by twisting pieces of tissue into miniature figures, or abroucs, that she stitches together or scatters into elaborate multi-media environments.
