Within our mind lies an extraordinary potential for inner peace and happiness. Through the simple practice of meditation we can learn to access this potential. In meditation we learn to let go of the agitated states of mind, such as anger, that produce unhappiness, and cultivate peaceful minds such as love, acceptance, wisdom and joy. We learn to transform our daily conflicts and problems into opportunities for developing peaceful and happy minds. In this way we learn the secret of happiness and the special skill of creating a joyful life.
This public talk will be given by Gen Kelsang Rigpa, an American Buddhist monk and the Resident Teacher at KMC California. Through his clear presentation, he is able to help students discover for themselves how to integrate meditation into daily lives, making everyday life peaceful and meaningful.
