Medical City Dallas Hospital beefs up for American Heart Month by hosting a new “Healthy Heart” seminar to educate people about heart-healthy eating. The seminar is free and will feature a presentation by Medical City cardiologist, Alistair Fyfe, M.D. which focuses on the myths of heart disease, followed by a Q&A session. Refreshments will be served during the seminar.
“Healthy Heart” seminar free activities include:
• Demonstration of 29 lean cut beefs by Stacy Bates, RD/LD with the Texas Beef Council
• Wine tasting from Dancing Bulls and Louis Martini Wineries
• Heart healthy samples from Genghis Grill and Fish City Grill
• Showcase of the “Richardson’s Kids Teaching Kids” program, which features a book filled with heart-healthy recipes created by the Richardson Culinary Arts program and evaluated by Medical City dietitians
