Medical City Hosts Free Day of Dance for Your Health Event for American Heart Month February 26, 2011

Medical City is part of Spirit of Women, a national network of leading hospitals dedicated to improving women's lives with innovative health and community programs, and together with the organization will host “Day of Dance for Your Health” in recognition of American Heart Month. The free event features health screenings and consumer education on heart disease, combined with the fun of learning various dance moves from local dance groups and companies, including:

• Power House of Dallas
• Park Cities Dance
• Dallas Tap Dazzlers
• ACME Swing Company
• North Texas Square Dancing
• North Texas Clogging

Women and their families will learn about healthy choices they can easily incorporate into their lifestyles, as well as find out their personal warning signs and risk factors for heart disease and stroke. Participants are encouraged to wear red to show their support for women’s heart disease awareness. Advance registration is required.
