Six dynamic, exotically beautiful women breathe renewed life into the addictive modes of medieval songs and poetry. Their hauntingly beautiful music and powerful presentation has captured the imagination of young and old alike and the devotion of audiences worldwide. In ten years the Baebes have placed three of their albums at the top of the UK classical charts and their recent contribution to the BBC production of 'The Virgin Queen' (composed by Martin Phipps) garnered a well deserved Ivor Novello award in 2007 for best television soundtrack. Pulling lyrics from medieval texts and setting them to original scores using medieval and classical instruments, the Baebes offer a sound that is unique.
