This fall's cultural festival will celebrate the cultures of Russia, the Ukraine and Belarus. The cultural festivals in the past have highlighted the cultures of Germany, Scandinavia, France, Scotland, Native American Indians, East Asia, Ireland, Portugal and Brazil, Morocco and Turkey. The one-day event will bring the best of Russian culture, arts and crafts, traditions, music and food to the community. There will be musical entertainment by the famous Balalaika Orchestra, with singing and dancing. Local Russian and Ukrainian restaurants will cater the food and various vendors will represent the traditional and modern arts and crafts, including jewelry and amber. Traditional artwork will be on display as well. A children's crafts workshop will occupy the young ones. It is being presented by local Russian preschools. Non-profits, educational institutions and other Russian/Slavic organizations will be on hand to provide information.
