Supported by the Singapore National Olympic Council, McDonald’s Young Journalists programme is looking for three aspiring Young Journalists to be part of the action of the upcoming Inaugural Youth Olympic Games 2010.

The McDonald’s Young Journalists programme presents an opportunity for journalist hopefuls to gain privileged access to the Games; a chance to meet and interview local and international Olympic youth athletes and to share their experiences with the rest of the nation via print, broadcast and online media.

The contest is open to Singaporeans and Permanent Residents between the ages of 14 and 18. Aspiring Young Journalists hopefuls are to submit a 20-second long video showcasing what they feel is their “Olympic Moment” and a 100-150 word essay on “What I look forward to about the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games” by email to MCDyoungjournalists@gmail.com.

Apart from cash and prizes worth over $2,000, the three McDonald’s Young Journalists winners will receive media training by the Singapore Press Holdings and MediaCorp TV to equip them with photography, print and broadcast journalism skills.
