Ben writes: "Are your students ever tongue-tied or simply too shy or scared to speak up in class? Are you, the language teacher, frustrated in not knowing the techniques to engage them and make them more comfortable in opening up and actually wanting to speak? If so, I can help! I am an ACTFL-certified OPI Test Trainer with much experience. In my workshop you will learn how to design activities by first observing an actual interview with an ESL student. We will then brainstorm, together, the elements that go into creating activities that can get your kids to talk, talk and talk some more. These activities can be used for assessment as well."
N.B. Ben was just honored by the American Association of Teachers of Slavic & East European Languages (AATSEEL) for outstanding contribution to the Slavic profession.
RSVP BY E-MAIL BEFORE MARCH 1. Please provide your PDE Act 48 number along with your name. There will be a drawing for a door prize from among those who pre-register.
