Open Shelf Films on Fridays offers screenings of films that have influenced exhibiting artists. November's films are selected from Adam Helms' Open Shelf. Elephant is set in Northern Ireland during the Troubles and documents 18 murders. The grainy 16mm film with which the movie was shot, together with the lack of dialogue, plot, narrative and music give the film a cold, observational documentary feel.
