MBC Unplugged featuring D.W. West of Muffintop Removal February 17, 2009

The Meaninful Gnames started from an outbreaking of Patchouli Oil Please and had a quick stunt and a very nice run in Columbus, Ohio. The band has a John Scotfield sound as D.W. West played guitar and vocals, Doug Wyatt played lead guitar, Timmy Heinsman on Drums, and Gore was the bass player. We played a dozen shows starting at Ruby Tuesdays and then mainly playing at Skullys, and we had a show in Parkersburg, WV as well. Before the Meaninful Gnames was Patchouli Oil Please. Now there have been so many set ups of that band, so the last set up was Doug, DW, and Timmy thats when they decided to add Gore and change the Name. Patchouli Oil Please in Columbus played a number of shows at Scarlet and Grey and Victorias Midnight Cafe. The Meaninful Gnames decided they were going to split, but the fans told D.W. they wanted more, so he brought them more. He brought Ralph Usden in to play Bass, he took over all the guitar and continued vocals and then added Jon Weaver to drums. This set up worked temporarily and had some bugs. We played a few shows at Scarlet and Grey Cafe and Skullys. We then played a private party or two in Parkersburg, WV before we decided to move Jon Weaver to Bass and add a new musician Worm to drums. Ralph would sit a few shows out as we played a few rocking private parties again in West Virginia and we played at the Par 500 and had more than 100 people in that dive. We also had the second most alcohol sales there ever which was around 1800 dollars. I know for a fact when we walked in they had around 250 in sales, the rest was our bands fans. So thanks for that Support. The Meaninful Gnames has been getting their name out playing shows in PA, WV, OH, and MA! The Meaninful Gnames now decided to take their music to a new level adding a funk master on the drums Mark B.! Look for a huge Fall tour until then look to see Muffintop Removal at a venue near you!
