Mark your calendar and plan to attend the 2008 Climate Change Conference and Earth Forum organized by MOPIA in collaboration with Climate Change Connection and the Manitoba Environmental Industries Association (MEIA).

This two-day event will feature speakers, workshops, a tradeshow, public forum on alternative energy, future site tours and a student poster design competition.

Speakers include (below) The Rt. Hon. Ed Schreyer, Dr. Shirley Thompson (NRI, Univ. of MB), J. David Hughes (Peak Oil) among many others.

The event is being held in Winnipeg at the Victoria Inn and Conference Centre.

**Public Forum - On Earth Day (Tuesday, April 22), a free evening public forum will be held. This evening event will allow the public to view and tour the tradeshow, hear environmental leaders and interact with experts in energy conservation and management.

**Student Poster Design Competition - If you’re a college or university student (undergraduate or graduate) within Manitoba and have taken a keen interest in the diverse topic of climate change then you are invited to submit a paper abstract and poster for the student poster design competition as part of the inaugural 2008 Manitoba Climate Change Conference and Earth Forum to be held April 22-23, 2008 in Winnipeg.
