The Mayor's Bicycle Advisory Committee (MBAC) consists of dedicated residents and City employees working together to make Salt Lake City more bicycle friendly. Residents serve on the committee on a volunteer basis; there are no formally appointed committee members. Activities include a monthly meeting to discuss bicycling issues and organizing events for Bike Week in early May. The committee's email list consists of over 150 participants and serves as the main outlet for bicycle advocacy information in the area. The MBAC meets on the second Wednesday of every month from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Room 335 on the 3rd floor of the City and County building at 451 South State Street. All persons interested in making Salt Lake City more bicycle friendly are invited to attend and participate.
