Maya's Wonderland at 701 Whaley is the party of the summer! August 27, 2009

Welcome to the party of the Summer!

Maya's Wonderland will be on August 27th. Come party with us downstairs at 701 Whaley from 8pm - 11pm. The evening will be an eye-popping extravaganza of unusual carnival games, belly dancing by Asheigh River, Ashley Bennet, and Natalie Brown of Alternacirque/Delirium Tribal Dance Company, tarot card readings, a kissing booth featuring Mr. B of Mr. B’s Goodtime Karaoke, a blueberry pie eating contest (still looking for entries), an adult puppet show by Lyon Forrest Hill, drinks, music by DJ Deft Key and more.

Topping off the event is Maya’s Big Vermillion, a rock/electronica concert of original music by Lorrie Rivers with video by Wade Sellers. Lorrie defines Maya’s Big Vermillion as "Alice in Wonderland in a vinyl bustier.” Tickets for this 18 and over show are $10 in advance and can be purchased at the door as well.
