May 1st Rally Put People First May 1, 2012

On May 1st, thousands of Vermonters will converge on the statehouse in Montpelier for a massive march and rally. Organized by the Vermont Workers' Center and its partners under the Put People First Campaign,the event will connect the struggles for universal healthcare,education, housing, childcare, workers’ rights, women’s right,disability rights, migrant justice, and a healthy environment and
livable planet.

The action will also highlight and put grassroots pressure on a number of state legislative priorities, such as passing a "People's Budget: and continuing Vermont on the path toward Health Care as a Human Right for all. The event will also link to a national day of action and what's being called the "99% Spring."
