Maury Allen & Susan Walker: Dixie Walker of the Dodgers May 8, 2010

Famed sportswriter Maury Allen and Susan Walker, daughter of Brooklyn Dodgers star Dixie Walker, will discuss and sign copies of their new book about the man known in Brooklyn as "The People's Cherce". Walker, who was groomed to replace Babe Ruth for the Yankees, played eight years in Brooklyn and as a Southerner objected to playing with Jackie Robinson.
