New Yorker cartoonist Matthew Diffee introduces Jean-Pierre Jeunet's "La cité des enfants perdues" ("The City of Lost Children"). The film is free with $7 bar minimum as part of CabaretCinema, "where movies and martinis mix."
Matthew Diffee has published over a hundred cartoons in The New Yorker since 1999. The Texas-native also edited The Rejected Collection: Cartoons You Never Saw, And Will Never See In The New Yorker and The Rejection Collection Volume 2: The Cream of the Crap. When not cartooning, he paints, makes films, plays the banjo, and performs comedy in small venues throughout New York.
