Explore the Work of Legendary Filmmaker, Alfred Hitchcock at The Boston Center for Adult Education
(BOSTON, MA) – The shadows in the night, the creaking sounds of the floor boards, a dark figure appears and the camera pans left! On Friday, April 9, 2010, get an in-depth look at Hitchcock's narrative genius and his influence on today's filmmakers with “Masters of Suspense: The Art of Alfred Hitchcock.” Instructor Charles Hoyt will explain why after more than thirty years after his death, Hitchcock is still the most recognizable name among the world of filmmakers through documentaries, commentaries, trailers, and rare examples of his television work. This course is great for movie buffs, aspiring directors and lovers of the art of filmmaking! The course is offered on Friday April, 9, 2010 from 6:00pm - 8:30pm.
Instructors:
Charles Hoyt has worked for Warner Bros. and MGM extensively throughout his career. He has written several film biographies such as “The Funsters” and “Hollywood Regulars” that have both been published by Arlington House. Hoyt is a Senior Lecturer at Northeastern University (CPS) (Adult Education) for College English sequences, Modern Best Sellers, and "The Politics of Alfred Hitchcock.” He holds a BA in English from the University of Oregon and a Masters in English from The University of Massachusetts.
