The Mason Festival of the Arts is a new visual & performing arts festival, sponsored by George Mason University and affiliated arts organizations. From June 12 to June 29, the Center for the Arts at George Mason will host more than 35 ticketed performances, and dozens more free performances by student and community-based performing groups. Lectures, gallery shows, readings, and other events will round out three very exciting weekends. The mission of the Mason Festival of the Arts is to support and promote arts education for all ages, to celebrate the cultural diversity of our region, and to showcase the work done by Northern Virginia artists and performers at student, community, and professional levels. For full information on the Mason Festival, see our web site, www.masonfestival.org.
