Shakespeare In Action, in association with Workman Arts mental health consumers, is proud to present Mask and Madness in Macbeth. Director Michael Kelly and the company explore the central themes of Shakespeare’s great tragedy using the larger-than-life theatrical technique of mask in conjunction with an edited text, music, and movement. The use of the mask both heightens and distorts the action and emotional arc of the play. This theatrical exploration of Macbeth illuminates a heightened world in crisis, where disorder and chaos gives way to fear and eventually madness. It’s Macbeth as you’ve never seen it before! Mask and Madness in Macbeth runs from April 21 until May 10 at the Joseph Workman Theatre. To purchase tickets call 416.703.4881, or for more information visit www.shakespeareinaction.org.
