Concrete Cookie (Kinga) + the Dog (Ian) from Mashup Soundsystem have
been
playing together since 1998, and before that Dog made music and played
ambient/chill out rooms parties alongside Aphex Twin and Traffik in the
UK.

In 2001 they also started doing a sporadic (as opposed to annual ;)
party called KlangKlang (http://www.mashup.org/klangklang). KLäNG KLäNG
was born February 17,2001. These annual parties are put on by musicians
for musicians.
The emphasis being on live pas/producers and mashing up different genres
[variety is the spice of life!]. We are a small collective with
interests ranging from politics to visual art, as well as performance
art...theater...film and anything else that can get the audience
involved in the 'system'...and in the show.

The Soundsystem´s style ranges from noise/dark soundscapes through dark
industrial/broken/electro/noise/technoid and sometimes a bit of
comedy/grungy/grimey stuff.

Both of MS were included on the Hive Records Fuck comp and in February
released a full length CD on Hive Records with other Mash Up members
including Retrigger from Brazil, Depth Error (aka Matt Green from
Epileptik records), Incredibad (3 friends who now write/direct for the
american TV show "Saturday Night Live"), Concrete Cookie, The Dog aka

Ian and Kinga are working on more vinyl to release with some new acts
signed
from UK and Scotland...as well as an ambient project for Suspicious
Records (an offshoot of Hive Records).

They already had some nice shows lined up this year including Rhode
Island Noisfest on Sept 2

Larvae/Lapsed/Displacer show in LA on September 15 and Sick & Twisted in
