Singer, composer, guitarist, keyboardist, and writer, Mary Lorson, began her recording career 20 years ago on Atlantic Records as the lead vocalist of the noisepop band Madder Rose. Since then, she’s steered the jazzy art rock group, Saint Low, scored several films, and collaborated on other dramatic and musical projects.For her tenth full length CD, BurnBabyBurn, Lorson has dressed her rhythmic guitar and piano-based compositions with subtle banjo and standup bass support, provided by Amelia Sauter (bass, vocals) and Leah Houghtaling (banjo, tenor guitar, vocals), as The Soubrettes.
