We are pleased to invite you to the first concert of the 5770 Cultural Arts Series. Mary Kantor and Friends will lead us on a night of beautiful Klezmer music, with trumpet, trombone, drums, bass, accordian, string quartet and of course Mary and her clarinet. The ensemble with play a lovely chamber piece, titled "The Dreams of Isaac and the Blind" by Osvaldo Golijov and traditional klezmer tunes.
Mary has delighted the Temple B'nai Torah community for years with her masterful clarinet skills during our Contemporary High Holy Days services. Mary is first chair clarinet in the Bellevue Philharmonic Orchestra, and she is a member of the Shalom Ensemble. Additionally, Mary is a founding member of the Johann Strauss Trio and the Mazeltones, both of which have toured widely and have appeared on television and radio.
All concerts in the Cultural Arts Series are free and open to the public. Dessert will be served after the performance, sponsored by the TBT Sisterhood.
