Wayne Koestenbaum wrote that Mary Jo Bang’s new poetry collection, Elegy, "recalls the late work of Ingeborg Bachmann in its febrile, recursive lyricism.” Bang was the winner of the Discovery/The Nation Award in 1995, and is the author of four other poetry collections. Of Dean Young, Charles Simic wrote, “This man reminds us that there is nothing more serious than a joke.” Young is the author of seven collections, including Embryoyo.
