Martin Luther King Day Of Celebration - One Dream, One World, One Community January 18, 2010

The Annual Day of Celebration, commemorating the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. will be held on Monday, January 18, 2010, from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EST and will take place at the Chase Center on the Riverfront.

The 2010 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. event is funded by the Delaware Foundation for Science and Mathematics Education. DuPont and the City of Wilmington are sponsors of the event along with financial support from other corporations in the community.

Activities include:

Keynote address by Judge Glenda Hatchett, television personality, author, and community activist.

Educational Art and Essay contest awards.

Interactive activities for all ages, including the Science Zone, Community Exhibitors, and Wellness & Empowerment Zones

All are welcome to help us celebrate the life and messages of Dr. King in an event that provides entertaining, educational, family-oriented activities for our Wilmington community.
