Marshall Community Center Earth Day Celebration April 18, 2009

Vancouver-Clark Parks & Recreation and its local partners invite everyone to a free community celebration of Earth Day at Marshall Community Center. This event includes earth-friendly crafts, interactive booths, games, and presentations.

Demonstrations throughout the day include:

* Container Gardening
* Family Green Cleaning
* Canning/Preserving food
* Composting
* Insect and Disease problems in landscape plants
* Recycling 101

And many more!

There will also be other learning opportunities for the whole family. Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation partners in this event are Clark County, Columbia Springs Environmental Center, Waste Connections, the City's Urban Forestry Program, Urban Farm School and Project Service Leadership.
