Lincolnshire, IL — ALADDIN opens July 14 and runs through August 14 at The Marriott Theatre for Young Audiences, 10 Marriott Drive. Based on the smash hit 1992 Disney film Aladdin, ALADDIN is a magical journey for all ages, featuring an Academy Award-winning score. ALADDIN is directed and choreographed by Matt Raftery with Musical Direction by Michael Mahler.
ALADDIN is a soaring magic carpet ride through Agrabah, the City of Enchantment. In the heart of the city lives a street urchin named Aladdin whose whole life changes when he discovers a magic lamp and unleashes a fun-loving, larger-than-life Genie who grants him three wishes. Aladdin sees this as his opportunity to be with the beautiful, free-spirited Princess Jasmine, who is only allowed to marry a prince. When the evil Jafar steals the lamp and tries to get the three wishes for himself, Aladdin must find a way to save the kingdom. Through his adventures, Aladdin learns that he is a prince where it truly matters most — on the inside. ALADDIN is a celebration of finding everlasting love and being true to oneself no matter what the circumstances. The thrilling score of this classic family production includes Disney favorites “A Whole New World” and “Friend Like Me.”
ALADDIN stars Bernie Yvon as the Genie, Christine Bunuan as Jasmine and Jameson Cooper as Aladdin. Also featured is Roger Mueller as the Sultan, Debbie Laumand-Blanc as Iago, Dieterich Gray as Jafar, and Karl Hamilton as Razoul. The ensemble includes Andy Lupp, Ashton Napier and Jarrod Zimmerman.
Lead Artistic Director Andy Hite heads the artistic team for ALADDIN with Direction and Choreography by Matt Raftery and Music Direction by Michael Mahler.
