What to do when a usurper king thwarts the forbidden love of his possible son and daughter? When two couples let loose and become Restoration-era swingers? When the princess has a little too much stubble?? Poufs, powder, three-story wigs, and outrageous makeup abound as these questions and more are answered in Sloss Performing Arts' production of 'Marriage a la Mode,' John Dryden's raunchy 1673 Restoration comedy standard. As with all SPA productions, audience members are encouraged to join in the costuming fun. Ticket discounts are offered for anyone wearing a Restoration wig or makeup, and during intermission, one audience member will be chosen via lottery to be "Restoration-ized" on stage, in a mini-hair show.
