Marlins Manatees and Mermaids Seek Fresh, New Talent for 2011

Marlins’ World Renowned Dance/Energy Teams Holding Open Auditions

WHAT: Tryouts for the 2011 Marlins Manatees and Mermaids squads

WHO: The Marlins Manatees, Major League Baseball’s first all-male dance/energy squad, received international fame immediately upon their arrival in 2008 for their big league bellies and larger than life personalities. The Manatees have become South Florida's hottest dancing sensation and have appeared on NBC's Today Show, CNN Headline News, ESPN, Inside Edition and more.

The Marlins Mermaids, Major League Baseball’s first dance team, were recently voted as one of Miami’s Sexiest Jobs by E! Network. Originally debuting at the beginning of the Marlins’ World Championship season in 2003, the Mermaids remain a cornerstone of the entertainment at every Marlins home game.
