One of the all-time soul, jazz, disco and R’n’B greats, Marlena Shaw and her band bring a little California Soul to the Spiegeltent in collaboration with the legendary innovative dub-reggae and trip-hop producer Mad Professor. The first female vocalist ever signed to Blue Note Records, Marlena embarked on one of music’s most versatile careers with enduring stage presence. Mad Professor has become remixer of choice for adventurous rock and techno acts, most notably revamping Massive Attack’s lauded Protection album. History will be made as these two behemoths unite to make music in this very special once-off project for Dublin Fringe Festival.
