Mark’s Carts and Downtown Home & Garden are proud to announce the 2nd Annual Mark’s Carts Cook-Off, sponsored by Le Creuset enameled iron cookware. Each of the eight diverse food carts at Mark’s Carts will use the same sized piece of Le Creuset cookware to prepare a dish in keeping with their cart’s theme -- i.e. Asian, vegan, Spanish, Indian. The public will be given free samples of each dish and asked to vote for the winner. Last year, the prize went to Hut-K for their "nutrilicious" Indian food. The competition this year will be fierce, with three new competitors in the courtyard. There will be live music and fun for the whole family! Free and open to the public.
In addition to the Cart Cook-Off, our very own Matt Banks will be demonstrating his culinary prowess on the Big
Green Egg, smoker and grill. Also, Mark will dust off his original Fleetwood Chilli recipe and serve it to the
crowd. We mean it when we say "the whole block will be cookin'." Free and open to the public.
