"Pickerel purrs in a rich baritone that's a perfect blend of confidence, longing and vulnerability," hails National Public Radio. This rock- and country-inspired front man and songsmith was the drummer in Screaming Trees, which rose to fame during the early '90s Northwest grunge movement. Pickerel has played on albums by Mark Lanegan, Brandi Carlile and Nirvana. He moved from behind the drum kit to lead His Praying Hands band. Whether summoning a haunted tone from his guitar or serenading a crowd with a ballad, Pickerel is a captivating performer not to be missed.

All Seattle Presents summer shows take place outdoors on the City Hall Plaza. In the event of rain, performances will be moved indoors to the City Hall lobby.
