Mark O’Connor is throwing a party in support of his first holiday album, ‘An Appalachian Christmas.’ Featuring collaborations with Renee Fleming, Sharon Isbin, Alison Krauss, Yo-Yo Ma, Jane Monheit, James Taylor, Chris Thile, Steve Wariner and more, ‘An Appalachian Christmas’ presents rare tracks available for the first time in years as well as new recordings. Mark will be joined at Le Poisson Rouge by many of his musician friends for a joyful night of music and good cheer!

Considered by the LA Times to be "one of the most talented and imaginative artists working in music - any music - today," O'Connor's last collaboration with Yo-Yo Ma won a GRAMMY and topped the Billboard classical charts. O'Connor's revered style mixing classical and rich folk traditions has inspired and influenced a new generation of string players, thousands of whom currently practice the O'Connor Method in studios and schools nationwide and attend his annual String Camps.
