Grammy nominated pianist/composer/educator and author Mark Levine performs a fiery set of original latin jazz accompanied by jazz notables John Wiitala (bass), and Paul van Wageningen, (drums). Levine?s career has included performance and recording with a long list of jazz greats: Woody Shaw, Mongo Santamaria, Joe Henderson, Bobby Hutcherson, Moacir Santos, Freddie Hubbard, Cal Tjader, Tito Puente, and Milt Jackson to name a few. In addition to his vast career as a performer, he has also led the way in jazz education, as author of many jazz instruction booklets that have become the standard for jazz education around the globe.
