Marin History Museum- Call for Auditions for Youth and Teen Bands April 1, 2009

On the evening of June 6, several Marin bands will be featured for 15-20 minutes set at the Marin History Museum’s Annual Fundraising Gala, and one of those will be a Marin youth or teen band…. And that could be YOU! The selected band will have the opportunity to perform on a professional stage, complete with state-of-the-art backline equipment (drums, mics, amps, keyboard, etc.). The event will host 300+ people and will include museum supporters, press, local community leaders, music industry producers, and of course, many talented and renowned Marin musicians. Musicians would be volunteering for the event, and would be provided with musicians VIP access, dining, and tickets to the event! Proceeds from the event benefit the Marin History Museum’s “Marin Rocks” exhibition; a brand new historical gallery focusing on Marin music makers.

All music styles are encouraged -- this opportunity is NOT limited to rock & roll. Open to those 18 years of age and younger. Bands must be based out of Marin County.
