WHAT: MARIN ARTS OPEN STUDIOS 2011
Over 250 artists open their studios and theater companies, dancers, poets and storytellers take to the stage in this annual two-weekend arts festival honoring the talented artists and performers who live and work in Marin County.
Start off at the free gallery exhibit at the Marin Arts Council location at 906 4th St., San Rafael to see artwork from each participating open studio artist. Beginning April 25 pick-up a free copy of Marin Arts Tourguide 2011 — then set off on the self guided discovery tour through the towns and hamlets of Marin County visiting hundreds of artists’ studios and enjoying performances of Marin’s vibrant performing arts community.

This annual handy guidebook is also distributed for free in targeted locations throughout Northern California.
