For our September meeting we will be joined by Clint Bolick!
Mr. Bolick is one of the founding members of the Institute for Justice ( http://ij.org ) which is a libertarian law firm based out of Washington DC with chapters in other states such as Arizona.
He was also one of the IJ attorneys that represented Randy Bailey in his lawsuit against the City of Mesa when Mesa tried to condemn Bailey's property using eminent domain which would have been turned over to a private developer and, prior to leaving IJ, also litigated against the Filthy ... er ... Clean Elections Act.
Mr Bolick has written books and spoken on TV and radio about many issues such as affirmative action and other areas related to economic freedom. He is also the author of a book recently published titled "David's Hammer: The Case for an Activist Judiciary".
Mr Bolick will speak about his latest efforts in litigating for liberty and of other interest to libertarians.
NOTE: Please be aware that I promised the manager of the restaurant that everyone would buy something to eat in order for our group to use their banquet room for our meetings. His deal is: "each person buys something to eat or the group pays a $10 charge."
