MARDI GRAS IS COMING TO MONTGOMERY COUNTY!

MCPAS is starting the year off right with their first Black Tie Fundraising Event. It’s going to be a masked “Mardi Gras Ball”, held on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at La Torretta Del Lago on Lake Conroe. Now, doesn’t that sound like fun! Even if you don’t dance, just watching the fun and entertainment from your seat will be well worth the ticket. Debra Duncan will start the Ball off as Mistress of Ceremonies. Two bands have been selected to entertain. During the cocktail hour “Bon Ton Mickey & the Zydeco Hotsteppers will play. There will be all of the traditional drinks on hand, including the favorite of New Orleans’ “Hurricane” to start off the evening. We’ll have lots of fabulous and fun items for sale and for auctioning throughout the night. There will be a photographer on hand to mark the occasion with personal photographs. A King and Queen will be crowned. There will be masks, beads, parade and everything else Mardi Gras related on-hand. A luscious full course Mardi Gras dinner will be served, and then the six piece band “Mirage” will play dance music the rest of the evening.
