Meijer and Venom have teamed up with Andretti Autosport and Driver #26 Marco Andretti for the 2010 race season and the Chicagoland Indy 300 race. On Thursday, August 26, 2010, Indy Racing League Driver Marco Andretti will be making a special appearance at the Bolingbrook Meijer store, located at 755 E. Boughton Rd. at I-355 in Bolingbrook, IL, from 6 to 7 p.m. Marco will be joined for the in-store appearance by his father, racing legend Michael Andretti. An on-site contest conducted by WNCO-FM will award lucky winners Grand Stand tickets to the August 28th Chicagoland Indy 300 race and Hospitality Passes to the Andretti Autosport Motor Coach.

The first 200 people to arrive starting at 5 p.m. will receive a priority wristband that ensures an autograph from Marco Andretti as well as a coupon for a FREE 4-pack of Venom Energy Drink. Area residents will meet and greet both Michael and Marco Andretti, view the full size Meijer/Marco branded #26 show car on August 25th AND August 26th, and get in the game between 3 and 7 p.m. by visiting the Meijer Mobile Virtual Playground, equipped with Nintendo Wii Games, an HP Creations Area and valuable coupons. There will also be sampling of delicious Meijer pizza from 5 to 7:30 p.m., at the Meijer Brand Demo, as well as Venom Energy Drinks at the Venom Van, between 3 and 7 p.m.

In addition to the autograph session, guests can ride in a special two-seater street legal IndyCar! Rides are available for guests 21 and older between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. in the Meijer Bolingbrook parking lot.

As the son of three-time IndyCar Series championship-winning team owner and former CART champion Michael Andretti and grandson of racing legend Mario Andretti, Marco started racing karts at age nine, at which time he knew he wanted to be in the family business. His rookie year, Marco finished second in the 2006 Indianapolis 500 in the second closest finish in the race's history.
