Spend your school vacation at Habitat, exploring and learning about nature through the seasons. Under the supervision of staff instructors, campers participate in environmental education activities, games, arts and crafts, and scientific experiments that focus on natural history. - - March Vacation Week is designed for children grades K-6 attending private schools or who are home-schooled. We offer five different days of nature exploration. Participants may sign up for one, two, three, four or all five days. - - Monday, March 21--Wonderful Wildlife - What makes animals different from each other? Their adaptations! Learn about the classes of animals and what makes each one unique. Visit Habitat's resident animals! - - Tuesday, March 22--Science Wonders - What is slime? How are bubbles formed? How does gravity work? Participate in scientific experiments that help us understand the world around us. - - Wednesday, March 23-- Tracks and Traces - Discover whoooo's active at Habitat in the winter. Use your skills of observation to learn where animals are and what they are eating when it's cold outside. - - Thursday, March 24-- Sweet Sap - Learn about maple sugaring through the ages, from Native Americans to present day producers. Investigate how maple trees create this sweet sap and use it for their growth. - - Friday, March 25--Outdoor Creativity - Be inspired by nature!
