Gather at S.H.A.P.E. Harambee Building, 3903 Almeda Road
March to S.H.A.P.E. Community Center, 3815 Live Oak
More than 400 people have been executed in Texas since 1982.
The March to Stop Executions has been held each October since 2000. It is sponsored by several Texas anti-death penalty organizations, including the Austin chapter of the Campaign to End the Death Penalty, Texas Moratorium Network, the Texas Death Penalty Abolition Movement, Texas Death Penalty Education and Resource Center and Texas Students Against the Death Penalty.
Get involved in the struggle to stop executions. Work with the committee that is planning the 9th Annual March to Stop Executions, which will be held in Houston on October 25, 2008.
To help plan the march, attend planning meetings held every other Wednesday in Houston at S.H.A.P.E. Community Center, 3815 Live Oak, at 7:00 PM. All are welcome and needed.
