Bar Scott has been writing, recording, producing and performing her own music for nearly 20 years. She has played with some of the greats including Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull), Donald Fagen (Steely Dan), Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel and King Crimson bands), Jerry Marotta (Peter Gabriel, Indigo Girls) David Sancious (Bruce Springsteen, Sting), Mindy Jostyn (Carly Simon, Joe Jackson) Phoebe Snow and Beth Nielsen-Chapman. Bar has recorded 6 full-length recordings of her own material, as well as 3 cover CDs and one children's book with accompanying music. Her latest release - Parachute, 2006 - is the first studio recording since 2000.
Bar has remained independent not only because of her own essentially independent spirit, but because of her entrepreneurial spirit too. She owns and operates her own record company - Lucy Max. Her concerts are enthusiastically attended and a very high percentage of new audience members buy her records which floats her boat.
