Manteca makes two rare appearances in Toronto on Sept. 22 & 23 at Glenn Gould Studio. 31 years after their founding, the Juno award winning New World Jazz band will premiere music from their upcoming 11th album to be released internationally in 2011.

With nine musicians on stage, a battalion of woodwinds, brass, drums, percussion, keyboards and bass, a night with Manteca is an evening of breathtaking composition and explosive playing, an exhilarating stage production and wry story telling from their years on the road sharing stages with Miles Davis, Weather Report and Van Morrison.
