In celebration of Immigrant Heritage Week, Manhattan Automobile Company (MAC) is hosting the Russian American Foundation’s exhibit of NYC’s hottest Russian designers. The latest and greatest collections from seven designers, who previewed these collections in a private runway show at MAC on April 15th, will be on display for public viewing on April 16th through the 21st.
Designers include: Lidia Amirova, of Bravo’s “The Fashion Show;” Nina Vishneva, a designer / journalist best known for her “Metrocouture” collection of clothing made from NYC metrocards; Louda Larrain, whose “Art to Wear” collection was recently featured at the Metropolitan Museum of Art; Alex Teih, who designs for the “modern Doris Day;” Olga Miasnikova, a designer who has shared the runway with Oscar de la Renta; Alexander Pavlov, who was nominated as the best designer of 2009 in Latvia; and Katrin Liranzo, who will be showing her women’s collection of ready-to-wear clothing.
