Manchester Science Festival: Family telecommunications weekend October 24, 2009

This exhibition traces the history of telecommunications from semaphore flags to the modern day mobile phone. Our world is driven by telecommunications thanks to the telephone, Internet, world wide web and mobile phone. Come and find out how the technology works, look at how it has changed and enjoy using vintage telecommunications equipment and home computers.

It is organised by the University of Salford as part of Manchester Science Festival (24 October - 1 November).
