About this Session
It has never been easy to deliver projects effectively and efficiently, as the history of cost overruns, schedule delays and undelivered benefits testifies only too clearly. But in an increasingly complex world, the pressure is mounting both to improve the track record of delivering projects, and to achieve ever more ambitious outcomes.
Human Systems International has been researching the underlying causes of project success and failure for more than 15 years, with data from hundreds of leading organizations on five continents. Recently, Terry Cooke-Davies and a number of his colleagues have been leading the way in solidly-grounded research into how complexity influences project management practice.
In this session, Terry will draw on extensive research to present the three most important steps that an organization can take to improve its project delivery record in today's complex and uncertain world.
