The Malone College Players will present Uncle Phil’s Diner, an interactive dinner theatre outreach, Friday, February 15, 2008, at 7 p.m. in the Johnson Center for Worship and the Fine Arts, located at 2600 Cleveland Avenue N.W. in Canton. Under the direction of 2001 alumna Paula Calhoun, the production promises to be a hilarious evening of “food and frivolity.”
Set in a 1950's diner, the plot centers around Uncle Phil and his wait staff as they eagerly anticipate the arrival of the evening's entertainment – a band called the Desotos. As it becomes increasingly apparent that the Desotos may never show up, the waiters & D.J. attempt to keep the audience entertained.
The production will also feature fine food prepared by AVI FOODSYSTEMS Inc. Patrons will have the choice of chicken, fish, or a vegetarian pasta dish. All dinners include salad, dessert, and a beverage. The ticket price of $20.00 per person includes dinner and the show. Call the Malone College box office at 330-471-8202 for reservations.
