Malone College will present Grand Piano Extravaganza VI: The Best Of…, featuring selected favorites from Extravaganzas I, II, III, IV, and V. Pianists will take the stage at the historic Palace Theatre in downtown Canton, 605 Market Ave. North, at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2008. One highlight will include featured artist, Nicole Lee, performing the first movement of Rachmaninoff’s Concerto No. 2. Dr. W. Robert Morrison, of Canton, an organist at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, will offer pre-concert music on the Palace Theatre’s Kilgen pipe organ beginning at 7:30 p.m. The master of ceremonies is Rod Carnes. This spectacular event, produced by Sandra Carnes, professor of music at Malone College, will feature eight pianos furnished by Steinway Hall of Akron. The program features music with as many as 24 pianists on stage at one time!
